Welcome Ameldrake. I would warn you that the stuff on here is addictive but it appears too late. One or two of shugs videos and your done. Are you related to the LDS drakes of culman? If so I am in the Madison 2nd ward here and leading the venture program. Trying to get them into hammock camping but right now if I could just get them to do something besides eat I would be happy. Welcome Welcome. This has been one of the friendliest forums I have been a member of and I am a complete newbie. cheers

Welcome to HF from another Bama hanger...........I am down in Gadsden as well and love the BNF/Sipsey Area. There is a group hang in the planning stages that will be at the Walls of Jericho during the June 3 weekend. Also don't forget the Mid TN hang that is scheduled for the weekend of May 20. The hangs are a great way to meet fellow members, compare set ups and feed off each others addiction!!!!!!

Really cool to keep giving back like you are. I grew up in Ms. and know first hand how the elders of that part of the south teach bushcraft to the young and I'm sure with all the scouting knowledge you have, combined with being a real Bama boy, your pupils will gain value's and skills for a lifetime. Thank you for this involvement.

Now to your mock...just a little advice and pre warning. I have been obsessed with mine since 2 days before the fedex drop. My most important piece of gear that is in my travel bag at all times. I cannot begin to tell you where these things have been set but I have started a many unique conversations due to it and made great friends. You will too. It's the coolest device you have no matter who made it!!

It's really only accurate if all the Bama folks go put themselves into it. So make sure you folks go put yourself in the database.

I feel a hammock hang a comin! Love the avatar Squid, you should use it on Alatrails as well :P
