    DD travel Hammock question

Hello everyone ...Just a quick question my wife and I have gotten new travel hammocks just wondering if you really need a UQ considering you have a double lair ..I was thinking of a z lite mat and a good sleeping bag ..just wondering what method you might use .

    Thanks in advance !

I suppose each person is different, but i used an underblanket with my DD hammock. Either that, or, use an inflatable sleep mat inserted between the layers.

I used my DD travel for a while with ccf mats. They do work quite well, especially as a ground sleeping system too and are lighter than UQ's.. You don't need an UQ, but they are better.

After spending a night with a cold back i wouldn't even hang out without the UB. Not tried a self inflating mat yet but i would expect cold spots.

Self inflating mats are pants in hammocks IMO, they are a pain and keep moving. Even with blobs of silicon, I cant get on with them. CCF mats are much better and are warmer than UQ's for the same weight but are much bulkier to carry.
