My son and i did our first overnight last night. We used our DIY double layered gathered end hammocks with sleeping pads in for insulation. It got down to about 40 and i had a little CBS (cold butt syndrome) going on so think i need to go with a UQ at some point. i also used the DIY baby food candle lantern i found on here somewhere and it worked great!!!!Me and my son had a great time. Thanks to all for everyone coaching us along!

That's awesome. I can't wait till I get to hang with my boys (2 years old and one due in a month). Your son will appreciate that time so much one day.
That is neat hearing that kinda stuff.....Dont give up on the hammocks and take advantage of every moment you can with your son.....
