    Aluminum Tent Poles

I had a couple of pockets sewn on my new to me tarp for 2 poles near the ends where the spreader bars from my bridge hammock will be.

Trouble is I go to Quest Outfitters and by the time I add up the poles, tips, shock cord, shipping, duty etc it's going to cost me $100

I need 2 at a minimum of 124". Longer can be cut. I could also use another I can cut down to 50" for going into porch mode.

I just missed some on ebay as Auction Sniper was down for maintenance just as the auction ended.

Wondering if anyone has any old ones or maybe an old tent that I can buy and scavenge??

Have you looked at Walmart, Gander mtn, or Dicks Sporting goods. They have tent pole kits with the shock cord.

I could only find it at WW, but have seen them at the other 2.

    The kit at WW is 4 sections- 27" long=108" @ 6.88
Get 3 kits and you should have enough for the length you require.

These are nice poles that can be used for a tarp:

Things are different up here in the Great White North ... no ****'s, no Gander Mtn. and WW has a limited selection of SG stuff.

    Thanks for the ideas though.

I looked some and checked the websites. Only place I found was Canadian Tire and they had fibreglass one.

    124"? 10 FEET?

I can't picture this: what size is your tarp, and how are you using the poles?

don't know the answer but I can imagine he wants two 6' poles, one at each end. He's got a bridge style hammock so you push the ends of the tarp out to clear the spreader bars, not the middle.
