I know this question is going to show my ignorance, but what exactly is a ridgeline's purpose and how do you "add" one to your hammock? Is it any more than tying a line to the tree above where you hang your hammock?

"Fearless warriors in a picket fence, reckless abandon wrapped in common sense
Deep water faith in the shallow end and we are caught in the middle
With eyes wide open to the differences, the God we want and the God who is
But will we trade our dreams for His or are we caught in the middle" - Casting Crowns
Just Jeff's site has a great explanation of ridge lines (scroll down to ridge line and sag). There is also a multitude of threads here on HF that discuss ridge lines.
