I see what you mean. I can see where the opening can take a hit.
Plus I am using Tech line and that stuff is stiff. It feels like the SpiderWire I used to use while bass fishing. It feels very abrasive. I fear it may rip out once I lay in the hammock.

Tomorrow may just be the test.

    Okay, guys and gals...
I finally finished the video now that the weather has cleared up.

If you don't know, I live in GA and if you are keeping up with the weather you may know that the South East has been hit hard with storms. Georgia alone had like a dozen tornadoes to touch down last week so the weather has stalled my posting.

I don't know how to embed a video here, so here is the link to my youtube video.

Thanks for sharing your HH mods. I am working now to complete a suspension change and a zipper mod on my son's HH Scout.

One thing I did that I noticed in your video that you may want to try. After I cut the nylon hammock body away from the netting and black bias tape (used by HH like grosgrain) I used a lighter to carefully sear the edges of the cut nylon, both at the bias tape (where yours is fraying in the video) and along the cut edge before I installed the new bias tape & zipper.

I hope to have time to get the zipper installed in the next couple days and when I do I will share a few pics.

    Nice job on the video!

I didn't think of that at the time, but that is a great idea.
I look forward to the pics.
