Have you taken a look at the TurtleDog stand? They're a little cheaper and easier to make... (and lighter)

Looks great and very solid.
Is there a thread on here that has plans for this stand? If so please post the link, it would be nice to have a cut list and so on rather than reinventing the wheel. I'm looking forward to building one for my back yard. The only trees I've got that I can hang a hammock from has a dead limb right over my setup. It's cool to lay there and watch the woodpecker do his thing but it makes me a little nervous.
