??? The SB and full length UQ's

    Hi All,
I have a question for SB owner that use an UQ.
I finely got to take my SB out for an overniter and was using
    a full length 3S incubator.
What I noticed is I like to sleep on my sides and my legs are slightly curled.
Looking down at my feet and seeing the end of the UQ a good foot past them
    got me thinking.
Do I really need a full length UQ?
I'm thinking a 3/4 will work just fine and save space in my pack.

    Your thoughts, ideas please.

Do you use a TQ? Sounds like you haven't had any cold feet issues. Maybe you'll be ok with a 3/4.
I use an 3/4 UQ and I find I bend my legs as well. My TQ goes around my feet and so far they haven't been cold at all. I carry a thermarest sitting pad so I figure if worse comes to worst I can put that under my feet for extra insulation.

You could probably get by with 3/4 UQ. I too have a full length UQ that I use once the temps drop into the 30's. I mostly use a 3/4 to save weight and augment with a pad for my feet and butt. However, I'm a cold sleeper so I do enjoy the full length when I bring it. I am also short 5'5, so even a 3/4 is plenty long for me. I think it's worth trying one to see if you like it.

Yes I use a full size 3S TQ. I also have an REI sit pad I'll probably should take just in case or until I know I can get full bottom coverage.

I really enjoy the warmth this 3S full UQ gives me however as you say it's probably overkill as the weather warms up.

Well 5'9" I think while on my size I can get full coverage with a 3/4. I'm going to try it.

    Thanks guys for your input.

I recently acquired a Yeti UQ from SmokeHouse. I think he said it was 2oz overfill...so it is very fluffy and WARM! At any rate, I've had the chance to use the Yeti UQ with my Switchback a couple of times out in the field. (I don't really count backyard test hangs.)

The Yeti works GREAT with the Switchback! Completely covers me from shoulder-to-shoulder without any slippage whatsoever. For the bottom half of my legs and feet, I cut a small section from the infamous blue Wal-Mart pad and rounded the corners. Works great!
