Oh, well done, SL!!! Excellent work despite being drugged up. (Heck, it's excellent even if you weren't drugged up!)
I hope the teeth heal quickly.

I couldn't get the hardware I needed at Joanns to finish up the zipper ends. All they had was an assortment pack that didn't have enough of what I needed. For $14.99!!! I'll have to figure something out.

can you put a 'bar tack' across the zipper end with your sewing machine? (or by hand if that is too awkward to access easily) just loop, loop, loop till the pile of threads is big enough to block the slider..
KM (who admires your gumption for taking on this project!)
I might just do that. I have some really think heavy duty thread.

+1 on what KM said. I' just finished sewing 2 zippers to hammocks, just did a wide bartack on the ends... works great, and you don't have to spend megabucks at Joann's for a $0.25 piece...
BTW: BWDD has #3 zippers for $0.25/ft, and double-sided pulls for $0.25 ea... I bought 30' and 6 pulls for less than 1 zipper at Joann's...

That's exactly what I do, too. Loop. Loop. Loop. Build up that thread. It works great at a fraction of the cost.
Can't wait to see it!![]()

I have to say, my handy work on sewing on the zipper isn't top notch, but it'll work for me. I'll try and post up some pics. I almost ripped the seams and went for a 2nd time has to be better approach, but it's functional and I don't want to go through the frustration again. I really want to find some pulls that are 2 sided before finishing the ends. I could only find the single pulls and though they work, I want the doubles. I almost called you CK. I sill need to bribe you to do that velcro I asked you about. I finally got it and it's ready for your awesomeness!

Iron them Cheeseburgers, then they'll fit the opening till it gets better.
