    Hammock Sock Mod Breathing Flap

So I thought after sleeping out last night that I wanted to make a hole so that I can deploy the sock fully and try to not fill the sock with condensation from breathing. Made this flap deal with velcro. Just based it on all the other ideas that I have seen on here and think this will work for me, i hope to test it out in the next week.
When I thru-hike the SHT in late April I don't always want to pitch the tarp as well and the Minnesota weather is fickle in that shoulder season. Tarp, sock, pad and a double hammock are my shelter choices as of now.

    Nice.
Can you close / open the flap from inside?
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

Looks good. I actually had a lot of condensation inside my sock at the Mt Rogers hangout. Had my son in there with me and he sleeps hot, so there was more moisture than normal....but still. I usually just leave my head out of the zipper but I think a setup like your might be more comfortable.

    Hey Doctari,
I can... all I do is peel the velcro edges. I played with it last night and it will adjust more ways than I thought. So far I just pull it inside and the ridgeline holds it back or I can roll it and velcro it to itself. Also if I pull the sock to one side the flap will hang in and work as a shield so not as much cold air will go down my body.
    There you go.

Just Jeff mentions a zipper on his sock. Shug, do you have a zipper on this sock? Or is it just a drawstring at end of sock with your breathing flap strategically placed?

    Hey Happy.....
No zip. Just a drawstring and the velcro flap. So far seems like a workable option.....
