Looking for ultralight summer TQ

I am considering options for an ultralight summer TQ. I am someone who likes to be covered when I sleep, regardless of the temperature. For example, last summer when I was at Boy Scout Summer camp (inland Florida panhandle), I would drift off to sleep in my cot (before I converted to a hammock) with no top covering. By 1am or so, I would wake up cool enough that I would slip into my REI fleece liner. The low for the night would be around 78° or 79° with a relative humidity of around 85-90%.

I like my REI fleece liner (which only keeps me warm to about 60°-65°, and it weights right around 15 oz. I am really looking for something else to use in the, say 50°+ range which is lighter. I know that the Shenandoah and the Summer Burrow are good down to 40° at about the same weight, but I fear they will be too much at 75°+. That and I want to find out where I can shave a few ounces.

I definately need something that breathes fairly easily in the humid climate in which I exist 6 months out of the year. Any suggestions on options I can consider?

I've got the same problem...I sleep covered year 'round.

Personally I use a poncho liner in the summer months when I go camping. Haven't tried it yet in the summer for hammocking, but can't imagine why it won't work for me in the air too.

They bundle up a bit buky, but they're plenty light, airy, and breathable.

I've been using this $10 sleeping back liner from dicks, super thin fleece. Made into underquilt, I haven't weighed yet but probably weighs around 14oz. It took me to 47 degrees just fine.

I have both the TQ and their UQ... tested them last weekend down to 40.5 deg F and was cold. I would say I'm a cold sleeper though but I would rate these to right at 50 deg F for me. Very good quality, light weight for being full size, and will be in my pack for all my 3 seasonish trips.

Light Hiker Bed roll, 14oz, sold at tree to trail gear's site. I've gone to the low 40's with this, and am sure I'll be fine through out the warm summer months. IX, being water proof, is nice to not have to worry about condensation or what not. It compressess well in the pack too.

I may like the Sea to Summit Coolmax liner. At under 9 oz, this looks great to me. Anyone out there used this as a stand-alone summer bag? How comfortable is it when it is hot and humid? How low can you take it? How well does it complement another bag or TQ?

I can pick one up at Amazon for $40 (I have a $100 gift cert).

I have one that I use when I tent camp... I use it inside my bag to keep it clean. With that being said I would guess it adds a few deg worth of warmth to the bag. I've never tried it as a stand a lone though I might try it latter this summer.
