I was testing out my diy tarp in my yard yesterday and the guy who got me into hanging stopped by to take a peek. This was also my first time hanging my hammock on my new tree straps with biners, so I asked him about Biner weight limits and if the hanging weight was devided because of two mounting points on the hammock. He told me that not only was the weight not split but it was actually multiplied because of the angle of the suspension pulling on the tree. I weigh 285 and have been hanging on a diy hammock with just some 3/8 poly rope with tons of stretch hence the switch to a new suspension. I have an ENO Doublenest in the mail and will be using 2" poly straps for suspension rated at 800 lbs , what weight should I look for in a biner ? Will my 450lb biners hold? Is there a formula on droop and sag that someone could point me to? Ive searched for a few days now with no luck. It looks like everybody sets up their rig a lil different, high, low, tight , saggy . It would be cool to see a written explaination why someone chooses one setup over another. Thanks in advance - Bob
