    Kids Hammock - - - fail?

I made my 2year old her first hammock as an easter gift. I used 2+ yards of pink ripstop and made a double layer gathered end hammock. The finished product is 84" x 30". She hangs in my hammock all the time but doesnt like hers. She says she's going to fall. Think its too narrow? Should I rip the seams and make it a single layer 84" x 60"?

or fold it the other way, so it is 60x42? this would increase the width, but decrease the length, but should still be long enough; (I'm thinking, as long as she is 3' or less tall?)

Go with the 84 x 60. That way she can use it till she is older and won't out grow it any time soon.

Has she slept in it yet. My son is 2 and he gets in mine but has never slept in it. Guess its time I made him one.

she's napped in my hammock but wont even lay in hers. I think since she'll probably never be out in cold weather I'll go 84x60 single layer.

I have been asked to make a pink hammock for my niece. Where did you find pink ripstop?
