    My quilt

Just completed my quilt. It is made from momenum90 and 1.1 with 12.4 oz of Speer 900 fill down. It weighs about 1.5 pounds and is 48 x 78 x 3.5.

I used HE directions which are excellent. Who would have ever though a southbounder had such a good sence of direction? Very easy to follow. I am already planning on my next one. At 3.5 thick this is a little overkill for summer use. Thru-hiker has a pretty good deal for all the ingedients for $150. I spent at least $200 on this one. One thing I did learn is Momentum90 weighs 1.1 oz per yard and 1.1 weigh 1.2. So the price for the momentum isn't worth it if only weight savings is your goal. It is better to spend your money on the down. Also Their Forest Green is really grey. However the dwr on the momentum90 is suppose to be top notch. I sprayed it with water and had a tissue stay dry under it and you can breather through it. It is also very strong. I couldn't rip a 1" strip.

That's a beautiful looking quilt. Congrats on a job well done.

Very nice. My son in law wants to get some momentum 90 to make a few things out of so good to hear its quality material.

new quilt, shiny side in, right?

    Hey Dutch,
    dang that's pretty.
I've been away from home all week, got home this evening and had a look at my momentum from thru-hiker for the first time. That calendered side is really shiny! That must go on the inside....(I know, there was a thread on this someone, but right now I'm too tired to go hunting. Got up at 5 a.m. PARIS time today and my butt is dragging).

I was plenty warm with my quilt down to 24 degrees last night. I just had on light pants, wool socks, long sleeve shirt, and a hat. My feet were comfy in the foot box. My shoulders got a little cold but I didn't use my spe. I am realy happy with it. I wasn't planning on making it so thick and now I have to make a summer quilt....and a half quilt.....plus my wife is going to want a set.
