Back out on the lake 2011 (-:

So after a cold and long winter its nice to get out on the lake again. Sunday was about 15C/60F and i found myself just loading everything up and heading north.

I got to Silverton to warm sun, calm lake and nobody on it. I loaded up the Kayak and put my immersion stuff on, still not quite use to that, water 47F, and headed out.

I was heading to Bannock point.

    I stopped for lunch

The wind started to pick up and i decided to start heading back .When i got back i just didn't feel done so i laid on the beach , made some tea and watched some ducks. Those picks weren't so good but i did get one last view shot before the sun started to get low.

Allot of these pics will be familiar from trips i did last yr but now there's snow on the mnts,,,,cool.

That looks awsome. You got one great looking back yard. Thanks for the pictures.

From Spokane to the Nelson area is about 3.5 hrs. Most of the Rec sites don't open till the 15th-30th of may . Most of the hiking trails don't open till summer because of snow. . Once the Rec sites are open doing the Nelson /New Denver loop is an eye opener.

Vito , Fronkey,,,,,,, mountains are beautiful,, fresh water and air is another benefit you don't see right away.

I was thinking the same thing... That looks like a great place and the fact that it is open already really makes me anxious to get out. I'm patiently waiting for the roads to open here.
