narrowing searches?

is it possible to allow use of the search function only within a particular forum?
for example if I go to the 'trip reports' forum, then pull down the search function, and type in 'Texas', I get all appearances of Texas in -all- the sub-forums, but all I wanted was the reports from say a recent group hang in Texas.
Possible? or too much to ask for? KM(who is swamped with search term finds...)

In each subforum, there is a 'Search This Forum' dropdown. It's on the right of the page, just above the thread list.

Is it possible to modify a search? Or, do you have to start over from scratch, simply to add or delete a single search term from an existing search?

I keep a link to Google with "site: hammockforums.net" already inserted. Then I add search terms to narrow down the 95,500 pages it finds.

On the top bar click search, then advanced search.

It should have all the options you need. If not use google such as 'search term site:hammockforums.net'
