    This Place is Dangerous

    Well, I joined this forum a month ago just to find out a little more info on hammocks since my daughter decided she'd like to sleep out in one on our next camping trip.

    So far the things I've built/made from instructions on this forum are;

    3 gathered end hammocks with 1.9 ripstop from joanns (on sale 50% off)
    6 whoopie slings from amsteel (hadn't even heard of amsteel before)
    2 tarps
    1 bug screen
    1 portable hammock stand (just finished this morning)

    For another 6 months, I'm still in Southern CA in the middle of the city (as you can tell by the photo) but soon we're moving to some property in Oklahoma where I can see these getting a lot of use...

    I've also been introduced to the youtube antics of shug which as a fellow juggler I have to say that's one funny guy..

    Yea! Hammocks are an addiction. The never ending quest for lighter and better goes on and on. Welcome to the madness.
    I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

    After 33 years of more and more rules about what you can't do and how much they want you to pay to not do it, I've had enough of this place.

    Yea, we'e already bought the land, just getting some things tied up here and putting a little more cash in our pockets before we head out. Gonna live in the travel trailer while we build and now plan on spending a lot of time in the hammock relaxing after a day of home building.

    20+ acres of woods just begging us to hurry up and get there.

    I know what you mean, I knew I had a problem when I modified my deck to make it easier to hang my DIY hammock!
