Are the leather shoulder straps a plain leather strap or the padded leather straps like come on the Sparky bag? My son has a deluxe day pack with the plain leather straps that I don't care for.
I've had a Sparky bag for years, I like it, but use it mostly as just luggage. I don't really use it for out doors stuff, mostly just for weekend trips by auto. Been thinking I'd like a bigger bag, been thinking about the Rambler bag in waxed canvas, 21 liters larger and I like the zipper outside pocket and zipper flap pocket. The Wander is only 12 liters larger. But 12 liters is a pretty good increase in volume too.
However, DP's own challenge polls shows the Wander leads in their poll 3:1 over the Rambler. Also thought I might prefer the cotton straps, but a reviewer on their site mentioned that he ought to have gotten the leather because he found the cotton collected grit. Your pack might allow me to try the leather on a larger pack w/o going for the Rambler.
Anyway, just thinking about the pack you are selling.
The straps are padded leather.
