Anyone have thoughts on how low you can take a GG Thinlight 1/4 inch pad as your primary bottom insulation?

My buddy is a warm/hot sleeper. He took his down to 27*F in his hammock. He used a 0*F rated synthetic bag and wore UA thermals and said he was very toasty.
I use a down UQ but that's just me.

It depends on your sleep system and you (and a bunch of other factors).
My ¼" Oware pad is good for me to the low/mid-20's. In a still weather, backyard experiment I felt cold coming through at 22°.

Does it matter (help/hurt) if you place it between the layers in a double layer hammock?
It makes life a little easier
