Hennessy rocks, UPS, not so much...

Just wanted to say that I'm absolutely enamoured with my hammock. I was giggling when I set it up and laid in it for the first time, and it was every bit as comfy and awesom as I'd imagined. I'm looking forward to a full night out with it this weekend.

I just wanted to say however, that I wasn't really thrilled with the shipping... I'd upgraded to the rush shipping so as to have them for the long weekend, and get out then. However, something happened along the way through UPS and it was shipped standard. Hennessy was very quick to compensate for the issue and I think they're fantastic. I actually had a concurrent issue with UPS failing on a different shipment from a seperate company, it actually took longer than my hammocks to arrive. I'd only suggest that for orders within Canada, using XpressPost would be much better IMO, it's not expensive, and I've always had good luck with it being reliable and fast.

Absolutely love the product! Just my $.02 on the shipping.

UPS sucks for shipping to Canada. In the past I have been dinged with ridiculous brokerage fees. I always use USPS/Canada Post for getting stuff from the States. Having said that, Canada Post sucks for shipping to the States.

It looks like there might be another option for stuff coming to Canada which is Purolator ground. No brokerage fees. Brian from Ont. wrote about it a couple of wks ago. UPS sucks in Canada.

That's exactly it. I usually use Canda Post XpressPost for shipping within Canada and I've never had anything but problems when I've used UPS.

I've had the brokerage fee issue too which was part of what steered me towards Hennessy, being in Canada.

I just want to reiterate, Hennessy is fantastic, customer support is amazing! But they need to find a new way to ship in Canada, almost a week and a half from when I ordered it for it to arrive, especially when the ball was dropped on the rush shipping is way too long IMO. (My other package took over 2 weeks, so again, not Hennessy, but UPS's fault)

Don't forget the wait at customs for the order to clear as well. My burrow and incubator sat in customs for 3 weeks before they were released.

Hey - no better to New Zealand. I ordered a hammock which had to come from the US and they did not list the correct retail price on the packing slip - normally wouldnt be a problem but if stuff comes over a certain value here you have to pay duty and fees for brockerage - what a pain - I had to go to go back to customs and 'prove' what I had paid for the hammock.

Same here. If I have a choice, it's USPS all the way!
