    ...will this work?

    Okay,
So far I have spent one 35* night out in my Hammock. I have a short thermal mat and a synthetic 32* sleeping bag.

To tell the truth, for the most part I was fine, as long as the wind didn't get under my tarp, or my pad didn't jump out from under me. So, I was thinking a underquilt. Well, money is almost as rare as time, and I'm happy to trade one for the other but need more of each. So... I asked myself how I could save some of both and keep warm in my hammock.

My idea is to just use my old Army issue poncho liner. I haven't tried it yet, but it should be to good on a cool spring night.

Has anyone else used a GI Poncho liner as your UQ?

I've successfully used the No-Sew model with an extra layer of Insultex down to about 45-degrees... I'm a cold sleeper, too...

Made a sew-up PLUQ recently and was nice and toasty on top of it at 42 wearing socks, midweight thermals and inside a regular 'ol Coleman rectangular sleeping bag
