HH Whipping

I have been through the DIY HH threads, and I noticed that on the HH that had been disassembled, the whipping was made by putting holes in the folds, then wrapping the line around and through the holes:

Why isn't anyone using this technique?

You can get the same effect by using the method as described in my DIY HH tutorial. I don't really see any benefit from burning holes through the ends of the hammock and I don't think that would be the easiest thing to do on a DIY hammock. HH probably used some sort of machine to make the holes. JHMO.

I think TeeDee replicated the hole-through-the-hammock HH method. You may contact him and see if he still has the pictures of how he accomplished the task.
