AT Hangin' this weekend

I'm going down to North Carolina this weekend and doing a two-nighter, 36-miler with my parents (I'm young). I'm ending at Hot Springs. Of course, I will be hammocking while my parents camp in their puny tarp-tent

Does anyone know this part of trail? Are there plenty of hammock trees?

On another note, last weekend I slept in my hammock in a barn with my fellow Boy Scouts on our way to the West Point BSA Camporee. There were all jealous. When we got to the camp-out, I had to sleep in a tent, though

Gobs plenty of trees everywhere on the AT until New Hampshire.
Think of how thankful your kids will be when they can use hammocks as Scouts because of all the trailblazing you did.
