I'm trying to work out how best to attach an underpad to my hammock (Hennessy Ultralight Backpacker). It would seem that using it under the hammock produces less condensation, particularly if using a windscreen protector, which I would like to do. Additionally, it would allow me to stuff something between the windscreen protector and the hammock if it got colder
I'm planning on using a windscreen protector first up, but in colder weather might use some closed cell foam, and would appreciate any input as to what attachment system works best and is lightest - I'm thinking lightweight press-studs would be pretty good, but other options are velcro, or sewing a sleeve into the hammock, which I'd be quite happy to do, if it worked best.
I'm in Australia, and will mostly be using my hammock for summer camping where the temp might get down to 10C, but would like to have the facility to experiment with winter camping/ski-touring, where it may get to -2C, as I have found the hammock so exceptionally comfortable to lie in.
