Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say hello to all of you from the always interesting city of Tokyo, Japan. I am from the great state of Michigan and live and work over here as a teacher. I am brand spanking new to hammocking. Don't yet have a hammock, but doing my research and spending a little time "lurking" on the forum. I am happy to be a part of a great group of folks and hope to meet many of you someday at a future hang. I appreciate all the great information you all put out. It is a big help. Take care.

Use the search, browse about and be sure to check out the videos - that Shug has great information to get you started and he's entertaining, too. (Or maybe he's entertaining and also gives great info?)

2new4nothing! No clue what international shipping fees are like but you can find Grand Trunk Ultralight Travelers for under $20 on amazon - great way to give hammocking a try. [It's how I've slowly turned all my friends into hammock campers - even the ones who usually only camp once or twice a year

By the way - hope you haven't had it too rough with the natural disasters and power plant problems!
