    Leighlo's uq is here

Well after many arguments with my wife, why an under quilt is a must have thing, for our family. Well the purchase of another under quilt that made it harder to justify. Also the hard road of going with down or Ix. We have some awesome venders here that help tones in the Ix realm that answered my questions. Sorry I did not go with them at this time but still talking with the wife (laughing). I got my uq in from Leigh it is very well made. I am so happy with her work and responses to my emails. I will have to plan a trip now to test it out. Here is the site if anyone wants to take a peak until I can get pictures up. http://www.leighlounderquilts.webs.com/

    what did you order

Post details about the quilt when you have a chance. Did you get a full length or 2/3's quilt? Any overstuff? Im close to pulling the trigger on one. The only thing I'm concerned about is the amount of down. It seems she uses a little less than most others, but in all the field reports I've read there hasn't been a complaint over warmth.

The quilts are about 25% overstuffed. I think were you see the difference is that Leigh's is a 2/3 (48") and some other vendors are 3/4 (54") which would require more down. We felt the 48" length was the best for weight vs coverage ratio.

Very nice. That's the color I think I'll order.

I don't think that was it. I was using the basic formula (Width x Length x Baffle size / Fill power) to compare. No matter though. It looks like from your experience they are plenty warm with the amount of down they have in them. I do like the shorter length as well since I backpack. And since I'm so short, it ends up being a 3/4 UQ for me anyway.

I too got one of Leigh's summer quilts and I absolutely love it. Mine is all black with a total of 4oz of down and packs down very small. The past two weekends I'v camped out to test it out. first night I paired it with a light weight synthetic quilt because I didn't know what to expect but woke up sweating at 28° ,the second night I used it by it's self with a 40°top quilt down to a low of 40° and was perfectly warm so I would rate my summer quilt as 35° as a minimum comfort range without supplement, pretty good for a summer quilt Thank Leigh for such a great quilt.

Same results here. Had my 3s out at the MAHHA this weekend and there was definately interest from people wanting to see one up close. A forum vendor in fact took a look at it, and commented on its quality. Couldn't be happier with mine.

I had mine down to 30, with a 20* bag over me, no issues at all. If you are on the fence....allow me to push you over-get it. You will NOT be disappointed.
