Hi folks, I've been around the forums for a little while and I've posted some but not a whole lot. My username used to be bowlhaircut, but over time I decided I didn't like it and angrysparrow kindly changed it for me.
Anyway, I never posted an introduction before so I think now is as good a time as ever: Hi I'm Ben, I live in Memphis Tennessee, and I like hammock camping. By day I'm a Java developer for a small software shop downtown where we work on a few e-commerce web applications and do some mobile application development here and there.
Most of my life I have lived in the tri-state area of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Around these parts is also where I have done almost most all of my camping and backpacking. I really enjoy going to Sipsey Wilderness, Savage Gulf area, and the Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas. My wife and I just got back from a trip to Eagle Rock Loop there. She's a hanger too and I like that a lot.
I have met some of y'all at this year's Ozark Hang and I'm really looking forward to the upcoming gatherings at Meriwether Lewis and at the Walls of Jericho.
