I'm leaning towards either:
- 3-season Phoenix - ~16oz, 52"L x 45"W, $189
- 3/4 length Down UQ by Wilderness Logics - ~20oz, 58"L x 46"W, $175
Both use 2" baffles, so I'm confident that they'll do 25*f without much trouble.
But here's the rub, I like the footbox in the Black Bird and a diagonal lay. So I'm wondering how these longer UQ's are going work with that footbox (I think I know now why Warbonnet went with a much shorter UQ design.) I'm concerned I'm going to have a giant, unsealable gap on the foot end of the quilt the moment I put my feet in the footbox of the Black Bird.
Does anyone here have experience with a WBBB and a longer down UQ (at least longer than the Yeti @46"L x 40"W)?
