whoopies on hennessy...

I converted my 2nd HH the week of MAHHA and used the prussics to tie my tarp. The tarp sagged by morning on me. And I was using a JRB tarp which is longer than the stock tarp so the prussics were way up on the whoopie past the point where the whoopie is inside of itself.
So I will be changing that out to a separate tarp ridge line. I will leave the prussics on the whoopie so I have an option in case something happens to my tarp line. Better safe than sorry.

I leave my tarp inside my snakeskins because I have a Equinox poncho tarp that I can use if its raining while hanging up the hammock. I then can use the poncho at the foot end as a tarp and can 'box in the end' like a Griz beak using the snaps on it

You have options here - try them out and see what you're comfortable with.

well... I have been dorking with this conversion... and just can't get anything I like...

I started this because the standard HH ropes were lashed to the tree straps... and for the most part worked great...
only issue was adjusting... so I figured whoopies...

But i soon found out that whoopies are adjustable.. but not great for cinching down tight..
so I tried the straps with descender rings... and they will cinch down tight... but a pita to loosen up...

the HH likes to be pulled tight... the 30 deg hang don't really work for me without a step ladder..

so I am trying to get..
easy setup
tight cinching
easy loosening

now... I guess it is time to try cinch buckles and Dutch clips.. ?
