    tree huggers vs. webbing suspension?

i'm using whoopies & marlin spikes on my stock HH tree huggers but want to replace the huggers with something longer.

i know the difference between the tree huggers and the suspension is that the huggers have a loop on both ends but since i'm using the marlin spike, is the loop on the opposite end of any use?

just looking to get some advice before ordering.

I use the loop on the tail end of the strap to keep my toggles from getting lost. I larks head the cord of my toggle through the bottom loop so I can't accidentally drop them. When you make the marlin spike, you can just keep everything attached.

I just use a loop on one end. I've never had any issue with it.

Same, I just cut 6ft lengths from my webbing when I switched to whoopies.

Russ and I use tree huggers too. However, depending on the tree, you can take that second end and loop another strap to it to make your total strap longer. Needed that a few times when the tree was humungous!!!
