tree huggers

Has anyone tried to make a tree hugger from braided "1.75 mm lash it/ zingit" line? A single strand is rated at 500# and much too thin for a tree wrap. I thought that if you did a 3 or 4 strand braid it might be a very lightweight tree hugger and of sufficient diameter to prevent tree damage.

Any thoughts?

that will damage the tree probably. it's still tight and will probably cut into the bark.
easy to test though. I'm curious.
Would you do a marlin spike hitch in it too, because then the larger width of the hugger might be an advantage
