Ok, so I am trying to figure out what size doors I will need to provide adequate coverage on the ends of a tarp--both of which will be DIYed once I figure out the size of the tarp.
This will be for full coverage in diving rain, so I am guessing I will want the tarp to be 10 x 12 feet. Any recommendations on how to figure out the dimensions on the doors?
Or, for those of you who have door kits for your tarps, could someone let me know the dimensions?

In addition to dimensions, scale models will let you try options quickly.
Good suggestion on the scale models. I know I have some graph paper around here somewhere...
I am wondering if I should sew the doors on separately, or cut the fabric with the doors included?
Added my doors afterward..... not sure of my dimensions but I just made some patterns with some old scrap and pinned and fit.

Ok, who has opinions on color? I know there are many fans of camo--I am too--but I am wondering if something like blaze orange might be a better idea? Not only might I run into hunters in the backcountry, but if I happen to wander when looking for firewood, it'll help me find my way back to camp. :-)
