Some of you may have seen the fans I use in my Hennessys ...the fan hangs on the ridge line.

Some of my DIY rigs do not have a ridge line,,,, and I didn't want to put a ridge line, just to hang the fan.

Below ii a DIY rig inside an ENO Bug Guard.

The fan is an O2COOL battery fan from Walmart @ $6.00

Since there is not a ridge line, I sewed a small loop on the inside near the end. This allows me to hang a bag, to store stuff, and a place to hang the fan from.

The black web girtle is what I use to hang the fan from a ridge line.. The plastic biner and cord works on this hammock.

This got me thinking about computer fans. I vaguely remember a previous thread about them???

I wondered if they would have a long enough runtime on batteries to be useful. So....I hooked one up to eight AA batteries. The runtime seems good. I stopped the test at 7 hours.

Oh man but these use them big ole D cell battrees... and can push some of this Texas air... seriously these do work good and the batteries last for several all night runs.
