    Hammock stand finished

I built my first hammock stand on Saturday this weekend. My pop helped me. I have two more to build for the boys and we should be good to go. The next two should be easy. I have all the measurements now. Thanks for all the designs on this site that helped me bigtime.

Thanks Shug. It was really fun. I am going to try to build the next two this weekend. I have ordered some short (single) Brazilian hammocks for the boys and we should be good to go. Three of those guys in one room. LOL. It's going to be awesome.

Cool. I wish I had a stand like that.

    Great looking stand!
Will this style of stand take 250-300 lbs?

that is a mighty fine looking stand. i just finished mine today and it's very similar. curious, how tall our your outposts? my original plans called for 82" and they were 6' off the ground. but i found that was way too tall unless you like a really loose ridgeline and lots of sag. i lowered my connection points by about 20' and it performs great. i'm 185 and feel very secure in this stand. I would guess it would handle 250lbs no problem.

Nice and simple.. I am currently trying to design one that is all Mortise and Tenoned together, so I can quickly take it apart with pins and transport it.
Have you managed a weight tent on it yet?
