Finally got to hang the Blackbird ...

... and also try the new AHE KAQ New River UQ with it! The system was so easy to set-up, it was ridiculous!

I thought the shelf in the BB might be useful, but it is far moreso that I ever imagined!

I also thought it would take quite a while to set the UQ properly, but with the end shockcords, and the easy 'biner clips, it was a breeze!

No need to reissue the features of the BB - we all know those. The ease of set-up utilizing the Black Bishop Bag was unexpected. I did try to put my HH Snakeskins on it, 'cause I tinker. Would not fit at the end over the two triangular rings. Don't need the 'skins with the Bishop Bag, though!

I did a fast stealth hang at a local pond I like to invade - it has awesomely spaced trees with great views, and great fishing.

Here are a few pics from yesterday - click on them to enlarge.

    Trees2.jpg Gorgeous spot to hang!

Dutch Clip.jpg Original Dutch clip on WBBB Webbing strap

Idyllic spot.jpg Idyllic Spot for any hammock!

This is the rig I am taking to this weekend's hang. Can't believe how much more comfortable, and ROOMY it is over my HH Exped! HH is the Holiday Inn, the WBB is the Ritz!

Take the HH too-my GF doesnt hang (yet), and the more different hammocks she can try, the better. I have a DD she is using this weekend, but I want her to see the different models out there.

Congratulations on a great hang and finally getting to use it. This just makes me more excited as I think mine will be delivered today.

I sure wish I could make it down there this weekend - it was going to be my first group hang, and I was looking forward to seeing different hammocks and set-ups, etc. Oh well....

====> Well, not to worry. We will be having more .... there is a large contingent of HF'ers in the area. We went to Grout Pond in VT last Fall, and will probably hang there again this year! There will be more local hangs .... we will hang together soon, I bet!

Looks like a phenomenal location! I bet you had a great time. My only BB hang so far was in my back yard, but I've got a trip to Yosemite Valley coming up in a few weeks, and I'm sure my Blackbird will soar there. Best of hanging to you!
