Ants invading marching one by one down your suspension
Has anyone ever had large insects manage to walk crawl along your suspension towards you for whatever reason?
I've had some ever large carpenter ants do that when i had webbing. Haven't experienced in yet with Amsteel. Now had I had a bug net on at the time it would not have mattered but i was lounging without one.
Any way to make a kind of road block on your suspension for bugs?
Permethrin treatment on your straps/line/whatever will prevent them from making the journey. They'll just fall off dead.

Haven't paid much attention to the bugs, but have had a squirrel do a tightwalk across my ridge line before
I had a blue jay come and sit on the webbing strap today. It was my 2nd time in a hammock. Kinda freaked me out.

Alcohol *'should'* work too if you are desperate.
