Maybe we should have a meet at a local spot to see if we want to do the hang.

So are we going to plan a group hang for Alabama? Aug, Sept,...
I am in Conecuh National Forest almost every weekend. A gathering of hikers
and campers will take place at Open Pond in CNF early October. I will most
likely be "hanging". The event will be the first ever AlaRuck hosted by The
Alabama Hiking Trail Society, www.hikealabama.org. Everyone is invited and
the only cost is the Forest Service camp fee, $6.00 per tent site. This would be a great to meet some of the folks who share your passion for the outdoors. More information can be found at the above AHTS website.

I may be up for the Conecuh for that event, I will see if I can pin that weekend on the calendar before the scouts do.
Before then may be possible. in the Mobile area. Like Chicasabougue park or such. Somewhere where there is water to pile off into after a hot day.
Anyone up for a meet this weekend? I'll be at the paperview UFC fight saturday at the Hooters in Tillman's Corner.
I would be there but I had it booked for a while.
Who would be interested in setting up another Mobile area hang. I have buddies I camp with but not many fellow hangers. If anyone would be interested let me know... These nice 70's outside make me want to hang.
I just recently did a canoe trip on the bartram trails in the Mobile Delta.

This was an awesome trip! Beautiful water and being that we were there in November, there wasn't much boat traffic. The one thing you have to watch for is the water levels and tides...
The best part is that there is so much water you can make many trips out there and be on different water every time. The indian mounds are pretty cool too!
I did the bartram trail and the mounds back in October or November. Gotta love that you can paddle down here well into December
