Found mine.
Order Number: 605
Date Ordered: Friday 13 May, 2011
I'm 578, ordered on 29 April (summer TQ). Still waiting, I'll let you know when I get it.
I have several pieces from Hammockgear... Stormcrow was very helpful in advising me on products before I ordered... the gear I have has been put to good use and I can honestly say it is far better than anything I have bought from big name brands.
Summer weight UQ and TQ kept me snoozing through 35deg and mild but steady winds, and same for my cold sleeping 8yr old son. I have yet to see a single feather flying out of any of my quilts. Wish I could say the same for more the branded stuff I have bought over the years.
It may not help your pending trip, but my experience tells me doing business with these cratspeople is worth a few weeks.
cratspeople, craftspeople, whatever.
All I have to say is I love my Hammock gear Quilts. Just ask any one who was at the Spring MAHHA . I'm sure you will enjoy your's as well.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
^^^ had 6 quilts from them. yeah, i'd say he's a believer
This is what I was hoping to hear. I ordered the summer weight UQ and TQ as well for a couple of reasons. First, I really don't get out much in the winter so I don't need zero rated stuff. Second, I am a warm sleeper. Third, I don't like to have more than I need and most times I would rather have less. I think the max I would be pushing a trip would be to 35 so it's good to hear you were comfortable at that temp.
I am new to hammocks and the cottage industry stuff but so far my experience is that the quality of gear far out paces the Chinese made big named brands. After only five or so hangs, I wouldn't trade my hammock for anything. Same with my tarp. Both have done what I asked of them with no short comings. I can't say the same for any of the tents I have had in the last five years.
I know I will be waiting a little longer for my UC and TC but I have the time. My only real grip is that by the time I get them, it will be warm enough for me not to really need them. Quality is worth the wait and that's how it should be. I just hope they come before I slip up to the White Mountains this summer but since the trip doesn't have date yet, I should be OK.
As of last week, he said that my quilt would be made on Sunday May 6 and ship on May 7. Still hasn't shipped yet, so it appears that he's pretty backlogged. Just FYI.
