Can you use the same type line to tie the prussik knot to the continuous ridgline?

Yes, but you may need 5 wraps on your prussik to make it hold.

I have 2 CRL's, one with dyna-glide, one with zing-it. I've used the same line for prusicks on both. 4 loops worked with both lines.

I've had good luck using same diameter line on the CRL and corner tie-outs. I use Speer No Tangle on the ridge and Kelty Triptease on the corners. I Think my prussics have four wraps.

I use the same type of line for both CRL and prussik's with 4 wraps and have no problems. I also use them on my guy lines. I do yank the one end of the prussik toward the "away" end (hope that makes sense) just to "set" it. After I do that, no worries. My tarp was up during some pretty good wind and had no slippage.

Two more questions. How long should the rope be to make the prussik knot and what type of knot should you use to tie it together? Thanks for all the help!

And here is what I use. I start with a 21" piece of Zing-It and bury 3" on each end.
