The copy in the ad for the Guide Gear Portable Folding Hammock says "can be used as lightweight beds on camping trips". I guess so... it only weighs 22 pounds!!
But that does include a stand.

But the carrying bag has a convienent shoulder strap
I actually kind of like it!!! My husband has been looking for something portable to take with him on a week long boy scout trip where there's no trees to hang his BB. This is not a hiking trip, but one where you set up a base camp. The only problem I see with this GG hammock is the weight restriction of 225 pounds. Humm, I wonder what my husband would say to loosing a bit of weight!!!
