    Hoosier National Forest weekend retreat

Nothing fancy just a simple hike and a coule nights in the woods.

Ron the Farmer and I will be heading for the Deam Wilderness this coming Friday afternoon...We will meet at the Firetower trail head at 5 pm and hike in to the old ruins....

Take the fire tower trail all the way to the terrel cematary, walk TO the cematary and continue West. there is a trail there. it will take you to the ruins. ( an old farm stead )

    GPS

    N 3903010
    W 08620160

this will get you there... will stay til Sunday morning.....our goal is to hang out and relax for the weekend.

Jerry, I am planning on going. Probably see you there at the tower at 5PM.

I might see you guys out there too. I'll have my GF in tow. I'm waiting for my 'guest' WBBB hammock to come in so I'll probably be tenting it.

So there is an unmarked trail that leaves Terill Ridge/cemetery that goes to the homestead?

Is that where you guys will be hanging? How do I find it from the cemetery?

yes there is a path that takes you right to the homestead, go to the North side of the cematary....along the fence, you will find it...it will go West
Last time I was there was about 2 years ago...pretty cool place. And we are only about 100 ( or so ) yards from the lake, so maybe some fishing involved..

That's what I heard. I bet you had a great time. I drove down on Saturday last week and discovered I had no billfold so turned around and went back home...bummer.
