does anyone make DIY crazy creek type chair?

I used to have a crazy creek chair when I was younger and I loved it. i was wondering since this forum has a huge ultralight following. If any of you could make on under a pound?

this is alot lighter than the one I had when i was younger that was around 2 pounds but id like to just see if any of you have made them lighter or ever thought about it.
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

If you use trekking poles - I would suggest making a Jerry Chair - can't get much lighter than that.

It's not DIY but I have a sling light that only weighs a pound. It's really comfortable. Check out slinglight.com.

I have a Crazy Creek Chair that is the same as The Sling Light. Weighs 37 oz and only cost $20 direct from Crazy Creek. Too heavy for backpacking but I use it for paddling trips and short hike group hangs. Crazy Creek no longer makes them.

I've made a few Jerry chairs.
If trekking poles aren't in your kit, you could use two trail sticks (cut to fit) or carry them on the pack.

Thermarest makes a similar thing - trekker chair, I think they call it - $35 I think I paid. You can slip a thermarest pad in it. But since I no longer carry thermarest pads, I cut a 1/4 inch foam pad that fit, and the bonus is that it's exactly the right size for my foot insulation past the coverage of the Yeti UQ. Dual purpose, I love it. Oh, and the whole thing weighs 14oz.
