Took an uncle out today ...

I decided to take an uncle out to dinner. But, he didn’t make it back.

Tossed some chicken in for a terrific meal.

Taking a few minutes to enjoy the grub.

Can’t beat the scenery. I only saw one other person while I was out and he was working his way around the lake trying to catch a few fish.

I am really loving the hammock. Quick to set up and not having to worry about open, flat ground is wonderful.

And you got the best kind of uncle, the long grain and wild. I lived off uncle for almost a week, when I was staying with a friend, who had NOTHING in the way of food in the house, luckily there was a rite aid across the street with uncle, and various canned meats. Good advice though, NEVER get the canned shrimp.

My stomach is rolling at the thought of canned seafood.

I have always car camped with the family, but with the kiddos getting old enough to lug a backpack around for a day, two, or three, I am testing some different food choices out there.
