    WYB: Cooking stuffs

Okie guys, looking for a few things since i keep missing the good stuff in the FS section.

Looking for a frying pan and a pot of some kind. preferably light, Ti a huge plus but thats expensive usually. Im not a UL guy, but 1lb for just a pot seems a bit much (in my mind at least...)

Im going to try to do some MH food, and of course some spam, and probably be using coke can stoves if that helps at all with the selection. I dont drink coffee but could deal with some tea...

also cup and utensils would be nice

    thanks all

I've had good luck with the Bugaboo non stick pots & pans(lids). The kit I bought about 10 years ago has 5 pieces, a 1qt pot with it's lid/pan, a 2 qt pot with it's lid/pan and a pot grabber. I guess it's a 6 piece set if you count the mesh bag. I only take one pot and lid/pan with me when I go. The weight of the 2 qt pot & lid/pan is about 12 oz and the 1 qt system is about 8 oz. The rather thick bottom spreads heat well and brings things up to temp quickly. I love the non stick nature of the Bugaboos and since I have baked some wonderful cakes in them I'd have to say they are quite versatile. Oh yes, they are rather cheap too.

I use a canteen cup and a Gi mess kit. The cup allows me to boil 2 cups of water for the mountain house meals or equivalent and the bottom of the mess kit (part with handle) allows me to fry up that spam for a sammich! lol

I have used the whole mess kit to bake bannock once or twice and that turned out well. The top had a funny shape because of the compartmented top on the fit, but I was going for food, not looks. And the whole thing may have cost me like $10.00.

You can get a cheap, lightweight, and small frying pan at the dollar tree.
