I was curious if anyone knew of any instructions or patterns for a basic anorak pull over? jacket. Or if anyone has made one? If so, what's the difficulty on a project like this, I'm very novice.

Seattle Fabrics and Outdoor Wilderness Fabrics both have patterns for jackets that remind me of the Anorak Style. I'm not sure if Anoraks have a hood or not.
Re: difficulty - the first one is never easy. Budget lots of time and patience. Don't be afraid to rip out a few seams. Heck, make a bunch of stuff sacks first to get the drift of your machine. Finally, don't be afraid to ask: there are DIY wizards here on the forums.

It's just all common sense. You can do it. My long length parka took about 4 months, and came out fine for a first project of it's complexity. Don't over think, just get started, and it will happen for you.
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.
"Mens Coast Range Anorak"
Green Pepper Pattern #126
Moderate difficulty (skip the sewn in upper pocket and it will be much easier).
I have made several - its not that hard. Follow the directions and take your time.
Only thing I did not like was that it uses velcro instead of a zipper.
Enjoy
Happy Trails.

Wow, thanks a bunch guys! The green pepper looks perfect. I have a bunch of fleece throws I picked up at wal mart awhile back and have been wanting to do something. I'm sure with the help of my girlfriend I can make this happen.
I picked up McCall's M6252 a couple weeks ago pattern when JoAnn's had the patterns on sale for $0.99. I haven't really looked into starting it yet. I'm planning on making a rain shell out of sil for use in-camp only using this pattern.
For a winter Anorak here is a good start. Summer just change the material and downsize.
