    WTB cheap hammock

I just wanted to see if anyone has an inexpensive hammock laying around that they would be willing to sell fairly cheap. My wife thinks that she wants get into hammock camping with me and funds are pretty tight right now. Her only requirement is that it has bug netting cause she hates mosquitos lol
    thanks!

REI has ENO Doublenests on sale for $44.99. Doesn't help with the bugnet problem, but it's a nice hammock at a nice price.

I've got some friends I plan on introducing to hammocking this summer, so I can't let go of mine, but the Byer Moskito Traveler has served me well! $40, 16 ounces, bug net included. REI carries them.

Yeah, plus it's a great hammock (not just for the price, but in general.

if you can sew, I put a bugnet made from organza on my eno. Sewed it on one side, and sewed a zipper on the other. Works great, and it was cheap. The zipper was $12 at Joannes, and they always have 40-50% off coupons. Use organza if you want to spend $5/yd, or tulle for $1.50/ yd. Get 3 yds and you'll have enough left over for some bags and a snakeskin!

It doesn't have a bug net, but I hear that Walmart is selling a cheap hammock that is pretty comfortable. I was able to try out Bonsaihiker's and it did feel quite comfortable. Lots of options for an added bugnet.

    Anyone?

Anyone got a cheapo diy version they made that didn't work for them? Or one that is just lying around collecting dust? I have a skeeter beater I would let go for $30. No shock cord though I re purposed it for another project(you need the shock cord to keep the bug-net up. I have only set it up a couple times and it has never seen the trail. I would also do a straight up trade for a really nice carbon steel mora knife, a titanium mug(at least 300ml, 6 varga titanium stakes, or a Hennessy tarp. You might have thought of this already but you might have her spend the night outside in your backyard(if you have trees that is) and see if she can comfortably sleep in it. Let me know and good luck!
