same story here - ended up pulling the red & green thread out after building the whoopie. I, too, had the green and the silver and noticed something else in my samples - the silver feels much softer/less stiff than the green - any body else notice that or is it just me?

From what I've read it is a tracer Samson just started putting in some of their amsteel. Just remove it and you're good to go.

So do we need to come up with some cool gear that requires the use of this "tracer" material? Is it thin enough to be dental floss?

Yanked it out and finished my whoopies and soft shackles. Here I am testing it out in the backyard while "working".

And I was thinking of using the green/red stuff as a release for the soft shackles, but it isn't braided and frays really easy. Might still look at doing it, but you certainly could floss with the stuff.

My green had the same stuff, it does come out easily and opens the center even more. I like the pic of the mullets, business in the front and all party in the back. Reminds me of going to the theatre with my daughter to see David Spade in "Joe Dirt" when she was 12. That was painful.
