    Hello from Montana

    New hanger in Billings MT.

I'm a new convert to hanging this year. I had a rough tumble down on a Yellowstone float that saw the end of my clip 2 flashlight tent. In looking for a replacement i came across hammocks and after sponging off this site I now have a Clark NA with the Vertex Tarp, and due to their sale a HH and a HH scout for my wife and son. Son loves his wife said it is comfortable but still hesitant..i think it is due to the very small stock tarp, might have to DYI one for theirs.

I'm looking forward to several BC hangs in the Belts, Crazy's, Snowy's and the Absarokee / Beartooth ranges this summer as well as some Yellowstone and Big Horn...time willing smith and Missouri floats!!

welcome to HammockForums and hey from high point nc.
there is a ton of stuff here to read, learn and ask about.
if it's hammock related it's here or still waiting to be invented.
    hang on and have fun.

home is where your hammock is.

I think flatline is the official HF welcome wagon. Everytime I look at a "hi from..." thread, flatline is always here. Also, welcome from us hangers here in PA. Man you got everything a hanger would want in Montana. Except Grizzlies... you can keep them

Fornax, welcome. Another MT hanger. I think that doubles our numbers in the last week or so.

Sounds like you've got some real adventures planned to some beautiful areas. Hopefully, I'll see on the trail at some point.

Welcome Fornax...keep your eyes peeled for a WB Blackbird in the A/Bs late Aug-early Sept; I'll be out there on my annual wandering/fishing trip. Love me some Montana, yessir.

    Beaten Path

There are so many wonderful lakes to hike out to and fly fish. I'm hoping to take my time on the beaten path (cooke city to east rosebud) this summer. As well as several day hikes that I'll start my son (7) on as over nights in his new hammock and its "secret entrance" (HH Scout).

Yep, The East 'Bud is my "secret spot" and has been for years. Whoops...did I just type that?!? Truly my favorite place on the planet. I am finally committed to doing the whole Beaten Path this summer, providing I can find a shuttle driver for my rental car.
