    Thanks for the tour, Mac.

    If all goes to plan... I'll be moving to Kentucky later this year and I hope to get myself to the Linville Gorge some time next year.

    Can one of those that were there tell me what the bug levels in that area are like at this time of year? (Mosquitos, chiggers, ticks etc...)

    Thanks for demonstrating that a rain poncho can double as a ground cloth too

    Bugs aren't that bad this time of year. The chiggers don't come on until mid-summer but I can usually avoid them if I don't sit directly on the ground.Ticks are a possibility from early spring till winter but not bad. I didn't notice mosquitoes much except on the trail where a spring was trickling down the trail and there was probably some still water there. There will be more as the heat comes on though.
    You'll love the Appalachians, Hope it works out for you.

    Thanks for taking the time out and doing the vid and posting Mac, beautiful place that I hope I can make it too one day, sooner rather than later would be nice!
