    shower curtain tarp?

I was taking a shower and it just came to me it i took two shower curtains and glued them together it could make a very light weight and cheap tarp, has anyone ever tried this?

shower curtains are very flimsy and tear very easily.... first set of strong winds and you will probably suffer some major damage to the tarp.

you are better off buying some light weight blue tarp from a hardware store, will probably cost about the same...

I remember trying to use old shower curtains to waterproof forts when I was a kid. Didn't hold up very well.

I also remember devising what I was sure was a fool proof plan to exterminate a yellow jacket nest near one of said forts.
The nest was in the middle of an open area so we flung the curtain over the top to trap them underground and then shoveled dirt around the edges to keep them under the curtain.

The next day there was a chewed up looking hole in the middle of the shower curtain the size of a tennis ball. I recall having a good dozen stings out of that disaster. Clearly the shower curtain was made by Acme.

I believe it was Grandma Gatewood who hiked the Appalachian Trail with a shower curtain as her shelter.

Not all shower curtains are made from the same material. Some are plastic, others polyester, etc...

Yep Shower Curtain for shelter, a drawstring bag for a pack which just carried ontop of one shoulder (no suspension, no frame, just a simple sack), and hiked the entirety in what accounts to Keds for shoes.
